— 2020 hunts —
Just as it was everywhere, 2020 was tough in the high country. From a record blizzard in September, to a very warm and dry October, success was hard to come by. We got it done though! We killed some elk and made some lifetime friendships with some great folks!
COME ON IN……NO MASK REQUIRED!!!
I love the way this smells. If you’ve ever spent any time in the spruce and aspen of the high country then you know what I mean. Throw in a little horse and mule sweat and it’s magical!
THE SH————TER’S FULL!!!!
How you like your bull meat??!!
The bull moose is the coolest game animal on the planet in my opinion. He strolls through camp every morning like he knows he’s the coolest game animal on the planet.
IT’S BEEN MANY, MANY YEARS SINCE THE FIRST TIME I HEARD A BULL ELKS BUGLE ECHO THROUGH THE TALL TIMBER OF THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH COUNTRY. I’VE HEARD HUNDREDS OF BUGLES SINCE THEN AND EVERY ONE IS AS THRILLING AS THE FIRST ONE. ABOUT TO BED DOWN FOR THE NIGHT AND SITTING LISTENING TO THE CRACKLING FIRE AND SEVERAL BULLS ARE GETTING TUNED UP FOR THE UPCOMING RUTTING SEASON. THEY KNOW WE ARE HERE. ARE THEY CHALLENGING US?…TAUNTING US? IT’S A SOUND I WILL NEVER GET TIRED OF HEARING. TAKE A LISTEN!!
